Rules & Regulations
We will provide a stimulating, fun and safe environment for your pet during their stay with Heartland Kennels. To ensure the safety and health of your pet and of our guests, we require all our guests to comply with the following Policies
AGE:
All dogs must be 4 months of age or older or have completed all three rounds of puppy shots.
SHOTS:
All dogs must have current vaccinations. Owners must submit written proof that their dog(s) received the Bordatella vaccine within the last 12 months.
Distemper (commonly referred to as DHPP and consisting or Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus) within the last year and Rabies within the last year or three depending on your vet. Proof of titers accepted in lieu of above vaccinations. Please allow a minimum of seventy-two (72) hours to pass between giving your pet these shots and using our services. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT BORDETELLLA MUST ME GIVEN NO EARLIER THAN 21 DAYS BEFORE COMING TO THE KENNEL.. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.
HEALTH:
All dogs must be in good health. Owners will need to certify that their dog(s) are in good health and have not been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days. On admission, all dogs must be free from any condition that would potentially jeopardize other guests. All dogs will require a veterinarian certification of health to be admitted or readmitted after any illness. FLEAS ARE NOT ALLOWED in our facility. Please protect your pet with proper flea protection. If we find fleas at the time of your arrival the dog will NOT be admitted for its stay.
BEHAVIOR:
All dogs must be non-aggressive. Owners will need to certify that their dog(s) have not harmed or shown any aggressive or threatening behavior towards any person or any other dog(s). Please remember that your pet will be spending time with other pets and that their safety and health is our main concern.
DAYS & HOURS:
We are open Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 6pm. Saturday 7:30 - 11 am, Sunday 8 - 10 and 3:30 - 5:30
RESERVATIONS:
Required for all boarding stays. Please call to give us at least 5 days notice on any cancellations or changes to you holiday plans. Waiting lists are common throughout all major holidays and we encourage booking early.
BILLING POLICIES:
Payment for all services is required in full, before the dog leaves to go home after its stay.. We accept Cash, Cheque, Credit and Debit.
We reserve the right to deny services to any dog for any reason.
